Calligraphy & Lettering:

I have always loved practicing calligraphy, even as a young child I asked my mom for a set of ink pens and nibs. I was inspired by the beautiful hand writing that was so desirable during the 1700’s in colonial America. Today, I have a wide variety of pens and markers I use for hand lettering, ranging from the very traditional dip pen to brush pen markers. Most of the examples shown below would be considered faux hand lettering, as I created the thin and thick lines manually rather than with the brushstroke. It takes a great deal of practice to master this skill and I feel that I have only just begun to explore the potential of this medium.
