A little bit about me…
My name is Amy Lynne Giglio. I am an artist and creative thinker, specializing in watercolor paintings as well as pen and ink illustration. My main subjects are generally organic in nature, as I prefer animals, plants, and landscapes. As a child, my favorite subject was always horses. I have worked with a wide variety of 2D mediums, including graphite, charcoal, colored pencil, pen and ink, watercolor, watercolor pencil, acrylic, screen printing, cut paper, and various digital programs.
I have earned two Bachelor’s degrees, the first being in 2007 from the University of Connecticut in General Studies. Then in 2013, I graduated from Eastern Connecticut State University with a BA in Visual Arts, concentrating in Digital Art and Design. For the next three years I worked as a Graphic Designer until September of of 2016 when I decided to pursue a new career as a professional artist. If you would like to learn more about my journey toward becoming a full-time artist, please see my blog.
I grew up in a small town in Connecticut (the photo above was taken at my family farm) and since 2014 I have been living and working in Ohio. I live in a historic row house apartment that over looks the city with my wonderful boyfriend and our dog. I am also an equestrian enthusiast and someday hope to own a horse again.
