A little bit about me…

My name is Amy Lynne Giglio. I am an artist and creative thinker, specializing in watercolor painting as well as pen and ink illustration. My main subjects are generally organic in nature, as I prefer animals, plants, and landscapes. As a child, my favorite subject was always horses. I have worked with a wide variety of 2D mediums, including graphite, charcoal, colored pencil, pen and ink, watercolor, watercolor pencil, acrylic, screen printing, cut paper, and various digital design programs from Adobe Creative Cloud. Most recently, I have added video editing to my list of skills, as I work towards building a YouTube channel and instructional classes on Skillshare.

My career path has been quite an assorted mix, as I have worked on horse farms, in clothing retail stores, and even as a fit model for a while.  After returning to school and graduating in 2013 with a degree in Digital Art and Design, things started to come together. For the next three years, I worked as a Graphic Designer until September of 2016 when I decided to pursue a new career as a professional artist. If you would like to learn more about my journey toward becoming a full-time artist, please see my blog.

I grew up in a small town in Connecticut (this photo was taken at my family farm) and since 2014 I have been living and working in Ohio. I live in a historic row house apartment that overlooks the city with my wonderful boyfriend and our dog. I am also an equestrian enthusiast and someday hope to own a horse again.
